The Science of Running Symposium brings together experts in medicine, running biomechanics, physical therapy, coaching, running gear, and strength training. If you're looking to advance your running performance this event is for you! This event is is open to all runners, coaches, parents of runners of any age and ability.

The Science of Running Symposium will feature lecture and hands-on learning opportunities with local experts in the field of running performance and rehabilitation. A Running Start and other vendors will be on hand for you to test out, and see what’s new in shoe-wear and training opportunities for 2018.

OUR TEAM

At Exeter Physical Therapy we provide individualized one-on-one therapy. During your visits, you will either meet with Joe or Lori. We want to share their background with you so you can start to get to know them.

Joseph C. Miller, PT, DPT, SCS

Joseph C. Miller, PT, DPT, SCS

Physical Therapist & Owner

With over 25 years of experience in orthopedic and sports physical therapy, Joe serves as Physical Therapist and owner of Exeter Physical Therapy. Joe received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University. He is also a Board Certified Sports Medicine Physical Therapist by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the only regularly practing Physical Therapist in Berks County with that distinction. Joe is certified as a Direct Access Certified Physical Therapist, which means his patients do not need to see a physican before seeking treatment at Exeter Physical Therapy.

Born and raised in the Mt. Penn and Exeter Township areas, Joe has strong connections within the community. He serves in a volunteer capactiy for Berks Catholic High School, Exeter High School and St. Catherine's school where he is a coach. He has a huge family and enjoys basketball, tennis and watching sports during his free time.

Lori Ketterer, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Lori joined the Exeter Physical Therapy team in 2015 as a Physical Therapist Assistant with a focus on specialized rehab. Lori brings with her a strong background in neurologic and outpatient rehabilitation, compounded with her twenty plus years of experience. She has worked in multiple health care settings and is a graduate of Alvernia University's Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Lori takes pride in helping others.

Lori is a Berks County native and resides in Robeson Township with her husband and 2 daughters. When she is not in the office, Lori is very active with her daughters and all of their school and sport activities. She also volunteers as a youth field hockey coach. During her free time, she enjoys trail running and can usually be spotted training for a race.

Heather is the friendly voice on the phone when you call us and one of the first smiling faces you see when you walk into Exeter Physical Therapy. She keeps the front desk running smoothly, assists patients with scheduling, insurance inquiries and billing.
